Walk Smart teaches a number of key skills for child pedestrian safety:
- Identify dangerous vehicles in a variety of intersections
- Identify when it's safe to cross a simulated intersection (traffic signal changes, no cars that can turn)
- Identify dangerous vehicles when walking on a sidewalk or roadside

Bike Smart teaches these important cycling safety skills:
- Identify dangerous vehicles in a variety of intersections
- Identify hazards to riders (e.g., car doors, obstacles on sidewalk)
- Know when to slow down (e.g., traffic signals of all kinds)
- Discriminate proper and improper use of helmets
- Recognize when it's safe to cross intersections
